October 14th- 18th Weeks is kicking off our first Spirit Week of the year! Each day staff and students celebrate their Wildcat Pride by participating in Spirit Week. The end of the week wraps up with a picnic on the lawn while the nice weather lasts.

Middle School Band Night at Lincoln

English Classes for Parents and Students

Weeks is hosting English classes for parents and students of immigrant families. This program offers basic English classes for adults and childcare is available for children 4-10 and enrichment classes for students grades 5th -10th. Registration for the program is still available by contacting the ELL office at (515) 242-7691.

Parents Meeting on New Grading System

Weeks Middle School parents are invited to an informational meeting about the new Standards-Referenced Grading system being implemented this year at our school as well as Brody and McCombs. The meeting will be Tuesday, September 10 at 6:30 PM in the Weeks auditorium (901 SE Park Avenue).

Annual Trip to Washington, D.C.

Weeks 8th Grade students have an opportunity to visit our nation’s capital. This Spring Break trip brings together 8th graders across the district to explore and learn about our nation’s history and to see civic action up close.

Weeks Kicks Off Peer Mentoring Program

To start the new school year, Weeks Middle School kicked off a new peer mentoring program. Called WEB – or Where Everybody Belongs – the program teams up 50 specially-trained 8th graders with small groups of new 6th graders to help them through the transition to middle school.
