Activities Code of Conduct

As well as following the DMPS Middle School Code of Conduct, students at Weeks Middle School will also need to follow our Weeks Middle School Athletics Participation Expectations:

Grades
If you have an F in at least one class, you have a warning that first week and must have a conversation with your teacher on how to improve your grade.
If you have an F for a 2nd week in a row in the same class, you are ineligible to participate in games/meets/tournaments/events/concerts unless your teacher signs off that you are making improvements and working towards improving your grade (due to our SRG, grades are not always updated weekly, but progress can be made through effort)
If you have more than one F in multiple classes, you get a warning for each class the first week, and you must follow the same process for all classes for approval. Performance in all classes must see improvement to participate.
Mr. Gray will provide official grade check slips to students for students to turn in to Mr. Gray. Failure to turn in slips to Mr. Gray will result in a continued suspension from activity.
Tardies
Need to average less than 2 tardies per day.
For each day you have 2 or more tardies, you will sit out a quarter for football/basketball, a set for volleyball, a meet for cross country, an individual match for wrestling, a half for soccer, and an event for track.
Referrals
Due to the nature of referrals, the different levels, and context of each situation, students will be subject to the discretion of their coach and Mr. Gray per each referral. The outcome could range from warning, partial suspension, full suspension, or removal from the team.
