Collaboration in the Classroom

7th grade students in Mr. Hewlett’s Global Studies classroom have worked together using Wikispaces to review for an upcoming District Benchmark Test.  Students collaborated to review vocabulary terms, major concepts, country and physical feature locations and history for Sub-Saharan Africa.  Students could each individually add information and his or her own thoughts to the group wiki while working together simultaneously as a team.  Each student was highly engaged and taking responsibility for his or her own learning.  This project is a successful way to help students learn to collaborate and good study habits!
