21st Century After School Program Kicks Off
21st Century is a free after school program through a federal grant that provides extended learning and enrichment for students. Students have an additional hour of literacy and math that focus on skills that aligned with their grade level standards and skills needed for the 21st Century. Students then may choose an enrichment activity for 1.5 hours. Some of the enrichment classes offered are Healthy Cooking, Technology Classes, Dance/Cheer, Bowling and new this year is Financial Literacy. The grant is in its final year. It will be up for possible renewal in 2014-2015. Students are asked to meet a minimum attendance record of 30 days.
