Students in Mrs. Hoyt’s classroom organized and developed a summer reading book fair for 6th grade students. Each student created a detailed project highlighting the elements of fiction through the novel of their choosing. Weeks’ Gifted and Talented students organized a school-wide canned food drive for the Food Bank of Iowa. With the donated goods the students constructed a display to bring attention to the issue of hunger. Weeks hosted the Boys & Girls Track Meet on Monday competing against Goodrell, Hiatt and Merideth Middle Schools.
