Vaccinations Required for All 7th Graders

No shot, No school!

Attention all parents of 6th grade students:

Iowa law requires that all students entering 7th grade be vaccinated for meningitis and receive a Tdap (whooping cough) booster. If this requirement is not met by the first day of school, August 23rd, your child will not be able to attend school until completed. We are asking that all students complete this requirement by the end of March to assure that there is no delay in the start of your child’s 7th grade year. Contact your doctor as soon as possible to make an appointment to receive the required vaccinations. After your child receives his/her required immunization(s), please submit an updated record to the school nurse. If you do not have a doctor, Nurse Luft can assist you in making an appointment. As always, your school nurse is here to answer any questions or help with any concerns that you may have. Thank you so much for your prompt attention to this very important health concern. Email Nurse Luft at: kelli.luft@dmschools.org or call 515-242-8449. Also, see the websites below for further information!
