More than 150 middle school students were honored on-stage at North High School for outstanding achievement in a variety of categories. Each DMPS Middle School was represented at the 1st Annual Stellar Awards and each student took home a standing plaque and a book, highlighting the quality recognized that evening. Hundreds of middle school students, along with parents and teachers, gathered at East High’s Williams Stadium yesterday for the annual DMPS Middle School Track & Field Meet. Weeks Middle School celebrated excellent student behavior with an organized Field Day. Students who exhibited great behavior during term 5 were invited to play games and enjoy the beautiful weather at the end of the school day. Students came in style for the annual 8th grade Formal dance. The dance was themed Hollywood Masquerade and attendees wore eye masks to bring style, mystery and fun to the elegant event. Check out the dance pictures on our Flickr page.

The National Junior Honor Society at Weeks is sponsoring “Pennies for Patients,” a fundraiser for the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society, May 1st -May 14th.
